Information for Educators
The Buffalo Soldiers Research Museum will offer presentations for school and community groups that highlight the courage, determination and pride of these soldiers. Information is presented that brings historical events into focus for living in today's world. Slide presentations, stories told through role playing, and other creative approaches are incorporated. Outreach programs for communities that do not typically visit museums will be an important emphasis. Research suggests that this audience learns best in a stimulating environment, so we plan to incorporate a variety of hands-on and interactive exhibits. In addition, educational resources will be available for educators who are interested in this historical perspective.
